Originally from Northern Ireland, J. W. Anderson studied at the London College of Fashion made his debut with an accessories collection. The collection was a success, allowing the designer to officially launch his eponymous label in 2008 during London Fashion Week. Accessories and ready-to-wear initially intended for men whose success spread internationally. With this success, he launched his first capsule collection for women in 2010, for which he is now the it-designer. It didn’t take long for him to be awarded by the the NEWGEN British Council as best young emerging designer, and in 2014 won the British Fashion Award for Designer of the Year. This brand with a strong identity brought men’s and women’s collections for subsequent seasons. While the designer was also appointed artistic director of the Loewe house since 2013, revolutionizing the Spanish house thanks to his style that combines clean lines with innovative and experimental designs.
